Sketch for a Failure of Budgets II is a site-specific drawing re-created for the Royal British Society of Sculptors, London. Like 'Sketch for a failure of budgets,' 2015, it explores the universal issue of budget failure from mass development schemes to small scale domestic projects, playing with the notion of influence that architecture and materials have on the individual, both emotionally and behaviourally. Once again operating within a self-enforced conceptual constraint of using materials that cost £3 or under, the work was created from readily available budget materials such as cement, MDF, linoleum flooring samples, photocopies, charcoal and clay alongside discounted mismatched paint samples; the installation examines plans and failure, whilst celebrating resourcefulness and ingenuity.
